ABOUT THE TEACHERS
We’re delighted to welcome back the experienced instructors of CanniSalsa – Gio, Heather, and Jo! This friendly trio lead weekly salsa nights in Whitley Bay every Wednesday, where they teach both Salsa and Rueda.
Known for their inclusive salsa nights, the CanniSalsa team pride themselves on creating a warm, welcoming space. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build your confidence, you’re in great hands!
THE CHOSEN CAUSE
This month’s Salsa for Charity night is in memory of Alison’s dad. Alison is a much-loved regular at our Whitley Bay classes, and we’re honoured to support a cause so close to her heart: Myeloma UK.
Alison has shared that she deeply appreciates the support from our dance community. It’s not only brought comfort to her, but also to friends currently going through treatment for myeloma.
Myeloma, also known as multiple myeloma, is a type of blood cancer that affects plasma cells. Over 33,000 people in the UK are currently living with myeloma, and every day, 16 more are diagnosed.
Myeloma UK is the only UK charity focused entirely on this disease. With no government or NHS funding, they rely solely on voluntary donations to fund research, improve diagnosis and treatment, and provide vital support to patients and their families.
Your generosity will help Myeloma UK continue their life-changing work, ensuring that no one has to face myeloma alone.

9:15pm - Social dancing and party until midnight with a mix of Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba
